All moms everywhere hear about the ever-elusive “balance” and picture a mom who has a perfectly clean house, excels at work, is always at the PTA meetings, tucks her kids in every night, cooks organic healthy meals, and still gets eight hours of sleep. In reality? Balance doesn’t look like that! Sometimes it looks like a messy house but happy kiddos. Sometimes it looks like a late night at work but pancakes with the kids the next day. As moms we tend to give up things that are important to us in the name of “balance”, but luckily today’s guest we learn about balancing creativity and life to really thrive!
Today I’m chatting with Sara Reimers, a busy mom, wife, and blogger who balances her creative pursuits and family with a full-time job! Oh, she also plays violin in a local orchestra and has managed to keep her creative passions alive after becoming a mom. She’s working on growing her blog as her creative outlet but also as a potential career change, and we had so much fun chatting through that ever-changing balance!
Balancing Creativity and Life with Sara Reimers
Today Sara and I chat about:
- Turning her blog into a resource for moms instead of only a journal of personal stories.
- How she balances her passion for writing, parenthood, and working a full-time job outside the home.
- How she’s kept up with her passion for music after becoming a mom.
- How she goes about balancing the business side and creative side of her blog, Sunshine Whispers.
You can find Sara at Sunshine Whispers blogging about parenting, family, faith, and finding joy in the chaos!
